The spread of COVID-19 has brought about the need for social distancing. In many parts of the country, including Texas, state governments have implemented new rules limiting social gatherings. While the step is designed to help reduce the health risks, it’s preventing churches from holding regular worship services. Thankfully, you can continue practicing your faith even with the restrictions in place.

How to Practice Your Faith at Home

Pray Regularly

Maintaining a connection with God is needed now more than ever. Fortunately, he's available around-the-clock. Anytime you feel overwhelmed or need guidance, simply find a quiet place and pray.

Read Scripture Daily

The Bible offers guidance for every situation in life, even during stressful pandemics. Continue to study the word of God to learn and better your life through his teachings. Set aside a few minutes every day to read the scripture.

Valuable Resources During Social Distancing

Online Sermons

churchMany Christians are missing out on Sunday worship services. These sermons help serve as guides for understanding the teachings of Jesus and how to live faithfully. Thankfully, you can replicate the service at home by accessing online sermons. You can even play them at the same time you'd normally be at church to reinforce the routine.

Christian Apps

One of the advantages of modern technology is accessibility. There is now a huge selection of smartphone and tablet apps for Christians. From customizable prayer guides to digital bible access, these tools are easily accessible and serve as valuable additions to traditional worship methods.

Prayer & Bible Study Groups

Many people enjoy the social aspect of faith and worship. While you can't meet with your church congregation in person, you can reach out to them digitally.

Consider starting a bible study group that either meets online or over the phone. Alternatively, it could be set up through email or as a social media thread so that worshipers could reply on their own time.
