Ingredients

2/3 Cup Flour                                          1 Can or Bag Frozen Okra
1/2 Cup Cooking Oil                              1 Lb.  Claw Crabmeat
2 Tsp. Creole Seasoning                       3 Lb.  Peeled Shrimp
2 Tsp. Pepper                                          1 Large Onion Diced
2 Tsp. Salt                                                1 Stick Butter
1 Can Whole Peeled Tomatoes            1-2 Tsp. Louisiana Crab Boil

Cooking Instructions

seafoodIn a large pot, heat two quarts of water. While the water warms up, melt the butter in another pot, and saute the onions in it. Add the salt, pepper, and creole seasoning. To make the roux, put the cooking oil in a separate pan on low heat and slowly sift in the flour, stirring constantly. When the roux turns dark brown, add the onion mixture and tomatoes to the pan and cook for 10 minutes. Next, add the shrimp, crabmeat, and okra, allowing them to cook for 15 minutes. Transfer everything to the pot of hot water and allow it to heat through. When done, serve over steamed rice.
