When you take the time to plant and grow flowers, it’s upsetting to see them destroyed in no time. There are plenty of flowers that rabbits generally have no interest in eating, so you can avoid your flowers becoming rabbit food by choosing carefully.

5 Types of Flowers That Rabbits Won’t Eat

1. Snapdragon

Kids love snapdragon flowers because they pop open when they’re squeezed, and they even look like mini dragons. But to rabbits, they are unappealing and could even be toxic, so it’s best to avoid them if you have pet rabbits.

2. Wormwood

Wormwood is poisonous to rabbits, but its poisonous nature also makes it potentially harmful to pets and children. For that reason, you should only consider wormwood if you think you can grow it safely.

3. Iris

flowersIrises are among the most popular flowers for gardeners because of their beautiful appearance and wide range of colors. However, they are much less popular among rabbits, and you can plant irises even if you often have rabbits in your garden.

4. Columbine

Columbine flowers may look delicate, but the plants are actually very hardy. Despite their attractive bright colors, they have no appeal to rabbits so you can enjoy them without worry.

5. Catmint

Rabbits are put off catmint because of the plant’s strong scent. If you choose the catnip variety that cats are very fond of, you’ll have a second line of defense because your pet cat will often be hanging around the plant and scaring away rabbits.
