Exercises to Recover From a Broken Arm

1. Range-of-Motion Exercises

Examples include rolling the affected shoulder back and forth, bending and straightening the elbow, moving the wrist in circles, and clenching and releasing a fist repeatedly.

To get you started, here are instructions for one of the easiest bicep stretches. Clasp your hands behind your back, turning the palms downward. Then, reach your hands back while simultaneously raising them, and stop before it becomes uncomfortable. Hold for 20 seconds, and repeat twice more. 

3. Strengthening Exercises

During rehabilitation programs, strengthening exercises typically involve lifting weights. Examples include bicep curls and shoulder presses. Since injuries are likely if you try to do too much too soon, use fairly light weights to start. Increase your capacity gradually, and always listen to your body when lifting more than usual.
