2. Leave Additional Room

Leave an extra two car lengths in front of you—keeping your gaze 10 seconds ahead of you—in case your tires skid or brakes respond slowly. Additionally, when stopping at lights, give yourself extra room to slow down and come to a full stop. This will help you avoid accidents and collision center expenses.

3. Winterize Your Car

Invest in high-quality winter tires or chains to ensure your vehicle has good traction. Winter tires have a unilateral tread design and may withstand temperatures as low as -30 degrees. 4. Check Tire Pressure Often
