Event Information

With the first day of school rapidly approaching, it’s time for parents to begin preparing for the new academic year. By meeting with your student’s teachers, you’ll learn what to expect and help them prepare for success. Wonderland School, a private school in San Marcos, TX, is helping parents gear up for their 2018–2019 year with a special event this August.

Back to School Night: Meet Your Child’s Teacher!

Tuesday, August 21st 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

At Back to School Night, parents will get a firsthand look into their child’s learning environment. You’ll meet with your child’s teacher to discover insights about the school day, the curriculum and specific areas of focus, and typical processes and expectations for assignments. The curriculum follows state guidelines but allows for flexibility in subject matter to accommodate differences and cultivate the best learning experience for all students. Subjects include reading, language, math, Spanish, creative writing, spelling, computer technology, and social studies.

schoolParents will also have the opportunity to ask questions and look ahead at the 2018–2019 academic calendar. While there will be many additional opportunities to communicate with teachers later, this important event helps align parents and teachers from the beginning. A strong relationship among family members and educators ensures children have support from every source for year-long scholastic achievement.

This event also lets parents bring in their child’s supplies. For your convenience, the staff has posted a comprehensive list of supplies by grade on their website, along with other helpful resources such as their Parent/Student Handbook. Review these materials in advance in case you have any questions.
