We recently shared the results of a survey we implemented to determine how our clients and other businesses in the area were managing during the COVID-19 crisis. The firms we surveyed represented a range of industries, and as we suspected, their responses were similar to those reported nationally. 

In the national construction sector, it was reported that in Q2 there was a drop in contractors’ confidence and outlook for their industry, but construction companies were well-positioned for recovery. Most have since seen that change as jobs that were delayed have been rescheduled.

Locally, our construction clients experienced slowdowns after the shutdown but recovered later in the summer. They increased their bidding prices due to cleaning expenses, while those with government contracts saw a decrease in this area.
