Whether you’re planning a corporate event or a wedding, you’ll want to ensure your guests comfortable. That doesn’t mean, however, that you have to host it indoors. Even during the colder months, there are ways to keep beautiful outdoor venues nice and warm. Here’s what you should know.

Tent Rentals

A spacious tent will protect your guests from the elements—and with a few additional features, it will also keep them cozy. Sidewalls will keep wind and rain out while preventing warm air from escaping.

Fans are also a wise addition because they’ll help circulate the warm air throughout the entire space. Using a floor can also keep the cool ground from chilling the surrounding area.

Portable Heaters

While a quality tent with cold-weather features like those mentioned above will keep the event space warm, you’ll need additional sources of heat to ensure the temperature remains comfortable. If you’re holding the event at night and are concerned about temperatures dipping below 40 degrees Fahrenheit, it’s advisable to outfit the tent with heaters.

Generally speaking, you should get one heater (rated 20,000 BTU) for every 1,500 square feet or so. However, larger heaters—like those that are 125,000 BTU—can cover a lot more space.

For added ambiance, include a few patio heaters outside the tent, which radiate heat outward about 8 to 10 feet. Place these in areas where people will congregate, like near entryways or walkways.
