To All Our Patients and Families,

As we transition from the Summer months into Fall, we wanted to update you on our Protocols and Precautions in place to protect you and our staff and address some of the questions you have asked. We miss the “normal” interaction with our patients and families, but we are so grateful to be back at work, seeing patients, and appreciate everyone’s cooperation and understanding these past several months.

WAITING ROOMOur waiting room will remain closed to guests for the time being. Due to our patient flow and staffing, we cannot efficiently monitor and enforce the required distancing, mask-protection, and cleaning and disinfecting that is necessary between each guest in our waiting area. We will remain diligent with these protocols in all patient areas. We understand that this is not ideal, but it is necessary in order to effectively follow the CDC guidelines for Dental Practices and to protect your health, as well as our staff. We will continue to check patient temperatures (lower than 100.4) upon arrival. You may be asked to wait in your vehicle until a treatment floor chair is available and properly cleaned and sanitized.

PROGRESS REPORTS AND APPOINTMENTS - In response to your requests, our assistants are providing Patient Progress Reports for each appointment in an effort to keep you informed. We are also scheduling the next appointment before a patient leaves the treatment floor, when possible.  Of course, if you have any questions or concerns regarding treatment, or need to change an appointment, do not hesitate to contact us so that we can assist you, personally. We are still limited on how many patients we can have on the treatment floor at one time, so you are encouraged to call and schedule or change your appointment as soon as possible to get a preferred date and time. Before and after school appointments schedule out weeks in advance, due to high demand.

TOOTHBRUSHING STATIONOur toothbrushing station remains closed due to the possibility of Covid-19 transmission through aerosol spray.  Please remember to brush your teeth (or rinse, at the very least) before you come to your orthodontic appointment. Clean teeth are critical for proper orthodontic care.

As we enter the final months of 2020, our resolve to keep everyone safe and healthy while in our care remains strong. IF YOU HAVE TESTED POSITIVE, BEEN EXPOSED TO COVID-19, ARE QUARANTINED, OR HAVE SYMPTOMS OF ANY ILLNESS, IT IS CRITICAL THAT YOU WAIT UNTIL YOU ARE SYMPTOM-FREE AND WAIT THE MINIMUM DAYS REQUIRED BEFORE COMING IN FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT.  We will continue to follow and adhere to the CDC, Texas State Board of Dental Examiners, and the mandates from Governor Abbot and the State of Texas.

LOVE LIFE SMILING,

Dr. Delgado & Team
