A live music festival is a great opportunity to listen to favorite artists and be around your closest friends. Because there will be a lot going on, though, it’s important to make sure you’re ready for the big day. Here’s how to get started.

How to Prepare for a Live Music Festival Trip

1. Choose Your Outfit

The outfit you wear to the festival should reflect personal style and keep you comfortable all day long. Most concert venues get pretty warm, so opt for a short-sleeved shirt with either pants or shorts.

For example, wear a T-shirt repping a favorite artist with a pair of jeans. Because you’ll be standing for hours, properly fitting and supportive shoes are a must. Instead of breaking out a new pair of heels, wear tennis shoes or close-toed sandals.

2. Arrange Transportation

At least a week before the live music festival, decide how you’ll get there. If you’re going to with the crew, figure out who will drive. Look into other transportation options, such as buses or trains, if they make more economic sense.

3. Pack Everything the Night Before

festivalIf leaving early in the morning to make it to the live music festival, pack everything the night before to save time and stress. Don’t forget to bring tickets, photo ID, cellphone, sunglasses, phone charger, and hair ties.

4. Book a Hotel

If you need a place to stay the night before or after the live music event, book a room at a hotel as soon as possible. When a hot festival is held in any area, hotels tend to fill up fast. If you book early, there will be a better room selection available.
