1. Use Your Case When Not Wearing Them

2. Wipe With a Microfiber Cloth

Lens smudges are inevitable, although you should limit contact with your lenses as much as possible. Using a regular cloth, a piece of clothing, or a paper towel, will cause scratches to form, so stick with a microfiber cloth.

It is fantastic for absorbing oil from your fingers that made its way onto the lens. It’s also soft enough that it won’t cause scratches. Microfiber can be used again and again, provided its washed regularly. Handwash the cloth using mild dish detergent and let it air-dry for the best results.  

3. Never Use Ammonia-Based Cleansers 

Ammonia will remove the coatings on your glasses, including anti-scratch, anti-glare, and photochromic, which allows regular glasses to transition into sunglasses. Eyeglass cleaners contain much gentler cleansers, including mild soap and alcohol.

You can even make your own in a pinch. Take a small spray bottle and fill it halfway with water before adding enough alcohol so it almost reaches the top. Take a drop of mild dish detergent and add it to the water/alcohol mix for the finishing touch.
