With the dreary cold weather falling around us, it is hard to imagine that summer really is not that far away. In only a few months, school will be out for summer and the kids will be eagerly looking for new and exciting activities to occupy their time.
There is no need for parents to start worrying, because FasTracKids has already started planning for their 2012 summer camp on the Upper West Side and the Upper East Side!
Just because the kiddies are out of the classroom, is no reason to let the learning end. It is no secret that without some kind of structured learning, children could lose one to three months worth of reading and math skills, otherwise called the “summer slide.”
The FasTracKids' summer camps are both educational and extremely fun, including 11 different weekly themes like World Travel, Anatomy of Me and Rainforest Exploration. The SmartBoard Learning Station engages children in a variety of activities like role play, arts and crafts and experiments related to weekly topics.
Kids can participate in one week, or all 11 weeks. Half-day camps are also available at both locations for children ages 3 ½ to 7 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. each weekday. Mini camps are open for children ages 2 ½ to 4 years old Tuesday through Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Upper East Side location. There is also a full day camp from 9 to 3 p.m. at the West 72nd Street location in partnership with Reebok Sports Club/NY.
Parents may also opt to add on one of their E.nopi Math and Reading tutoring programs to keep kids' skills at their sharpest.
The full schedule for FasTracKids' summer camp will be available this week. Call today to reserve your child's spot and save 10% when you enroll a sibling.
