EVENT

Event Information

What's better than the patios in The Oregon District? MORE patios! Weekends in September and October, Fifth Street will be transformed into a pedestrian promenade, featuring expanded outdoor dining areas, pop-up sidewalk sales, entertainment, and other special activities.

Fifth Street will be closed to vehicular traffic Friday through Sunday. Starting at 5pm Friday evenings, going through Sunday dinner service. Enjoy table service at select restaurants, or relax at any of the publicly accessible patio tables. Bring your mask to wear inside any shops or restaurants, and when you're unable to maintain a 6-foot social distance from others who are also Out on 5th.

While you're Out on 5th, be sure to take advantage of special amenities in The Oregon District, like the free WiFi, or the new Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA). This state-wide program allows patrons to purchase a designated cup from a participating business and consume an alcoholic beverage outside of that business but within the boundaries of the DORA. To see the map and learn more, visit www.TheOregonDistrict.org/dora

Fifth Street will be closed to vehicular traffic at 3 p.m. Friday, and will reopen to vehicles Monday morning. Access to the paid parking lots around the perimeter of The Oregon District will be maintained. Bollards will be placed at strategic intersections to discourage parking in the historic neighborhood; however, thousands of parking spaces are available all around the perimeter of the District, including more than 300 spaces of free on-street parking along Wayne Avenue, Bainbridge, Walnut, Fourth, and Jones streets as well as the Greater Dayton Premier Management parking lot on Wayne.
