There are definitely times when a payday loan/advance would be a good choice.  At most banks if you overdraft your account they will charge you a fee.  That fee will vary from $10-40 plus regardless of how much you went over be it $.01 cent or $100.  This will be charged per item if you have several checks come in while overdrawn you could be staring at some big money.  How about when the utility company sends you a cut off notice, the car needs to have a repair or you can't make it to work, and the list goes on.

This may be a time when you should consider doing a payday advance.  Yes, the fee is high and if you allow the loan to become ongoing this will prove to be an expensive option.  These loans are meant to be used for temporary needs only and should be paid back rapidly.  That being said, it may save you money if you find yourself in a situation similar to the one described above.

It might be good to mention here that the payday industry in Nebraska is monitored and controlled the Nebraska Department of Banking.  We have a number of laws that we must comply with and we are inspected by the Department of Bank in on a regular basis.  We are subject to hefty fines if we are found to be out of compliance.
