The Bellotti Law Group is pleased to announce the addition of Joseph Markey to the firm as an associate in our Boston office.  The addition of Joe is a part of the firm’s continuing growth and commitment to the Boston area.  Attorney Markey will be joining our criminal defense and workers’ compensation litigation groups.  

“We are eager to have Joe on board and join the high caliber of skill and integrity that we hold at the Bellotti Law Group, said Firm partner., Peter Bellotti. “He is an outstanding attorney who will offer first-rate knowledge and personalized attention to our clients.”  Attorney Markey will also bring his experience as a 3:03 Prosecutor in the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, having considerable trial experience litigating district court cases in the City of Newton.   

Before joining The Bellotti Law Group., Attorney Markey was Chairman of the Middlesex Sheriff’s Advisory Board, where he oversaw legislative compliance and supervised over 700 reserve deputy sheriffs.  Attorney Markey currently serves as the Lynnfield Town Moderator running the Annual and Special Town Meetings, where Lynnfield’s 65-million-dollar budget is approved. In his capacity as Moderator, Attorney Markey appoints citizens to serve on the Finance committee that performs reviewing the proposed annual town budget.  Before being elected Moderator, Attorney Markey was the elected Lynnfield Housing Commissioner from 2014-2019, the youngest elected in state history.  

Mr. Markey graduated from Merrimack College, obtaining a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance and Management. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor degree while working full-time managing and consulting on many notable congressional, state-wide, and county elections in Massachusetts. Joe also serves on the Boston Italian Home for Children 100th Anniversary Board and finds time to coach High School Hockey in the Town of Wakefield during the Winter.
