Exciting News!, Glastonbury, Connecticut

 To All My Patients

Dear Friends,

We here at Nayaug Family Dental have some very exciting news. I am delighted to announce the addition of a new member to our dental team, Dr. Sidra Yaseen.

It’s hard to imagine I’ve been in practice for 40 years now.  I thought I had seen just about everything. Real estate bubbles, stock bubbles, super storms…and now this, a global pandemic the magnitude of which we haven’t seen since 1918. But as with every other change society faces, life goes on. As our lives return to (a new) normal, I feel comfortable returning to plans that were underway before the shut down, part of which were to bring on another dentist to help manage the practice as it has grown over the years.

I met with many dentists before selecting the person that I know will be the best fit for the practice. I chose Dr. Yaseen because she has excellent technical skills and knowledge, but more importantly her philosophy towards dental care matches mine and I trust that she will take excellent care of you. She is caring and friendly, and I know that she will put you at ease.

Dr. Yaseen attended college at the University of Southern California, and dental school at the University of Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. She completed a General Practice Residency in Staten Island, and has been in private practice in the seven years since. She and I are neighbors – she lives in South Glastonbury with her husband and one year old son. Her husband Mohammed is a Glastonbury native who graduated GHS in 2003. They enjoy traveling, eating out, and watching TV.

I am excited about the new ideas Dr. Yaseen has for the practice, including an in-office membership plan for those of you who do not have dental insurance, and expanded service offerings like KOR whitening and clear aligner orthodontic treatment (Invisalign). Feel free to ask us about details.

I still plan on practicing dentistry but will be taking advantage of the opportunity to cut back on my schedule as Dr. Yaseen assumes the majority of your care. Rest assured that Dr. Yaseen and I will thoroughly discuss your care and history at the practice so that you will experience continuity of care regardless of which one of us is providing your treatment. Dale, Mary Lou, Judy, Stephanie, and Danielle will continue to support Dr. Yaseen and I in providing your dental care.

We here at Nayaug Family Dental are excited about this new phase in our practice and hope that you will warmly welcome Dr. Yaseen . Thank you for continuing to choose our office to take care of you and your family. We look forward to seeing you soon.

With kindest regards,

Brian J. Chiffer, DMD
