Meals prepared during camping trips can be difficult. You may have to cook them over an open fire, eat them out of the pot, or do without your favorite condiments. However, with foresight and the right RV accessories, you can prepare delicious meals for your family, even on the road. Below are some terrific RV-friendly meals to try.

3 Delicious Meals You Can Prepare in Your RV

1. Stuffing Scramble

Box stuffing is an essential RV meal, since it’s inexpensive, non-perishable, and easy to prepare. For an easy, hearty breakfast, sautee a cup of leftover Stove Top stuffing, along with some mashed potatoes, onions, green beans, or other leftover items, until the combination browns. Add three eggs and scramble the mixture. Top it with a handful of shredded cheese and garnish with your favorite herbs.

2. Rice & Beans

RV accessoriesA rice and bean dish is a staple in many RVs because it’s quick to make. If your RV accessories include an instant pot or pressure cooker, use that appliance to cook the rice to speed up the process. Then, add dry beans, which have fewer additives. Add a can of tomatoes, chopped jalapenos, an onion, and smoked sausage, and serve the concoction over steamed white rice.

3. Grill Packets

Combine your favorite diced meat, such as beef or chicken, with a chopped potato or sweet potato, diced onion, and a favorite vegetable. Wrap enough of the mixture for one person in aluminum foil, and fold it shut to keep the moisture in. Cook each packet in the oven, on a barbecue grill, or just toss it into the coals of your campfire. Heat for 15-20 minutes, tear open the foil, and serve.
