Dear Current and Past NCBC Members,

This week we celebrate our Nation’s Independence, and while we are experiencing many challenges, both to our Nation and to our spiritual lives, we must take time to remember our past and the sacrifices of those who gave us the freedoms we have today. Let us as believers stand fast with God as our guide to unite our Nation and kindle our love for our Country and our fellow man this Independence Day.

This will be the first time our church family has not celebrated Independence Day together since opening our doors almost 15 years ago. Yes, this virus has not only disrupted the gathering of His saints to praise and worship Him at our churches, but also to celebrate the Nation built by our forefathers and sustained by past great generations by correctly applying the Word of God. Fortunately, while we are separated, we are still able to meet virtually, praise God in our daily worship and prayer, and seek His comfort and guidance.

So today, the Pastor and I hope that as we celebrate our independence, we will not only honor God, but also remember the great citizens who sacrificed much to provide us the religious freedom we have to worship, knowing that this freedom can be lost if we ever lose our faith in God. Enjoy the day in celebration, and we hope to see you at church soon, so that we all may again worship, sing, and pray together.
