We are Salon Sisu!
Let us introduce ourselves.  I am Lucinda Quattrochi.  My husband, Sam and I are the owners of Salon Sisu.  We have both had professions before getting into the beauty industry, but it’s been my passion longer than my husbands.

Sam was a Family Therapist and Juvenile Justice Administrator for 30 years.  He and his team created the national model for mitigating child trafficking that is still used today.  I was a Commercial Artist in D.C.  When I moved to Colorado, I redirected my creative juices and went back to school to be a cosmetologist, with a laser focus on owning my own business.  Sam was introduced to the salon business reluctantly when we were dating.  He became by receptionist “by default” when we were short staffed at my first salon, Agora Salon in Evergreen, Colorado.  Since then, we have always dreamed about how we could create something together that was our own unique expression and utilized our mutual talents of creativity and caring.  This became Salon Sisu.

We are both passionate about sharing things that inspire, new ways of thinking and value meaningful connections, to things greater than ourselves.  The beauty industry has been such a reflection of the changing times and values throughout our history.  From letting your freak flag fly, to roller sets, hairstyles have been a reflection of the cultural landscape.

With my background as an artist, the beauty industry was a nature creative expression for me but seeing how an external change creates an internal transformation is where the magic is for Sam and me.  We believe that this time of turmoil and uncertainty has great potential for big cultural changes, as difficult is it seems.  The salon for us, is a microcosm of a culture of nurturance, acceptance, compassion, and celebration, and that’s why we created Salon Sisu.

We found our perfect spot at The Gateway Retail Village in Golden, Colorado, next to the Origins Hotel.  After you come visit the salon, stop by Launch Espresso, Food and Spirits for a hot brew, or Over Yonder Brewery for a cold one.
