Julie joined Tennessee Plateau Oncology in 2020.  She earned her B.S in Nursing from Belmont University in 1995. She worked in critical care as an R.N. for 5 years before achieving her M.S in Nursing at Vanderbilt University in 2001. Julie has experience in several specialty areas including oncology, pulmonary/critical care medicine and primary care. Julie is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society.  She has been a sub-investigator in multiple phase II/III clinical trials while employed in Nashville.   
 
Julie recently returned to the Upper Cumberland from Nashville. She has also lived in Kentucky, Minnesota and Wisconsin.  She appreciates living and working in a small community.  She values delivering high quality oncology care close to home. She believes this to be her primary goal as an employee at Tennessee Plateau Oncology.  
 
Julie also enjoys spending time with her family in Cookeville.  She enjoys most outdoor activities including hiking, biking, walking, and kayaking. She also is active in yoga and gardening.  Julie is an active member of The River Community Church in Cookeville.
