Playing games on a pool table is a great way to unwind after a long day and have fun with your friends. If you’re bored with the standard pool games, like 8-ball and 9-ball, you can always branch out and play other games. Here are a few other billiard games you can play.

What Are Some Fun Pool Table Games?

1. One Pocket

One Pocket requires two players and uses only two pockets for scoring. The goal of the game is to aim all eight balls in your corner pocket before your opponent. Every ball is worth one point. Whoever earns eight points first wins the game.

2. Baseball Billiards

pool tableBaseball billiards is named after its scoring system that is similar to baseball and typically played with 21 balls. Every player is allowed nine innings to score as many points as they can. Each successfully pocketed ball counts for its numerical face value. For example, if you pocket the ball labeled “2” and the ball labeled “10” during an inning, you score 12 runs. The game ends once all players have completed their rounds.

3. Cutthroat Pool

Cutthroat pool typically involves three players and starts by dividing the ball into three groups by their numerical face value: 1-5, 6-10, and 11-15. The object of the game is to pocket the other players’ balls before they pocket your balls. You will get a foul if you make contact with one of your balls before your opponent balls. When a foul occurs, then a ball from each opponent goes back on the pool table. Whoever is the last player with remaining balls on the table wins the game.
