After you go through the trouble of cleaning your bathroom, don’t forget the mirror. Streaked, dirty, or fogged glass can decrease the appeal of an otherwise wonderfully bright room. Many people avoid cleaning mirrors because wiping can leave behind streaks, but luckily, following the guide below helps you achieve a clean and lustrous look with minimal effort.

What Do You Need to Clean a Mirror?

Many people hear that they should use newspapers or paper towels to clean mirrors, but these items often leave ink or lint behind. Cleaning with reusable cloths is also more eco-friendly and cost-effective.

How Should You Clean a Bathroom Mirror?

First, dampen a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol. Use this to remove any globs of toothpaste, hairspray, makeup, or water spots.

After spots are gone, spray the fogged glass with the glass cleaner. Folding a microfiber cloth into quarters, start wiping the top-left of the mirror, working toward the righthand corner. Then, move the cloth down a little and wipe back toward the left side, moving in an S-shaped pattern. As the cloth becomes dirty, switch to clean quadrants.

Once you’re finished, look at the mirror from different angles to see if you missed any bits. Spot-clean these areas with alcohol and cotton balls, and then you’re done.
