A property-wide commercial painting project will benefit your business in many ways. A new coat of lacquer will make interiors look cleaner, brighter, and larger. This will go a long way in creating an excellent first impression for visitors. To ensure your customers and staffers aren’t disturbed while work is underway, take the following approach to the renovation project.

How to Ensure Commercial Painting Won’t Disturb Customers

1. Paint After Hours

If possible, ask the painting contractors if they can work after your business closes for the day. This way, technicians can come and go as they please and won’t have to maneuver around employees and customers. Since no one will need them after business hours, office equipment and merchandise can be covered with drop cloths or moved out of the way to prevent damage.

2. Section the Space

Employees can temporarily move their workstations to other parts of the building while their offices and cubicle areas are being painted. If you run a retail shop, temporarily relocate merchandise to another section of the store. Customers can still browse the inventory while the painted area is sectioned off.

3. Create Walking Paths

Surfaces can be sticky after the lacquer is applied. To prevent employees and customers from brushing against wet paint, provide them with ample space to maneuver. Move office furniture, retail racks, and other bulky items to create wider paths to walk around. As an added safety measure, post wet paint caution signs within view.
