Happy June Y’all!

With so many issues happening in our world with COVID’19, we are again having to cancel our June program – the A.R.C.H. Retreat.

The A.R.C.H. Retreat is designed to connect young adult childhood cancer survivors (18+) with each other and enhance their social network; teach them tangible tools for healthy living and coping; and support their medical, emotional, social and vocational concerns.

Each year we meet up and focus on the struggles they are having with appropriate workshops and focus groups.  Medical, social and vocational experts are brought in to assist in each area of concern.

As one of the survivors has stated:  “LOL gave me the connection I needed with other survivors like me.  It was LOL’s second ARCH Retreat in 2013 and I was new.  I didn't know anyone, and I didn't know what to expect.  Since the ARCH Retreat was a small group atmosphere, I felt included and loved right when I arrived.  There is an unexplained connection cancer survivors have with one another.  At the retreat, it took about two seconds for me to feel comfortable.  Honestly, I didn't have a choice.  When you meet Traci, she’s immediately your best friend.  That’s how all events, retreats, and gatherings unfold.  Leaps of Love has brought so many people together and always provides whatever you need going in,  I’ve found an organization that has quickly turned into family and for that I’m truly blessed.” – Shane

As COVID’19 has interrupted several of our events and programs, we are still embracing the needs of the families we already serve.  Gift cards, meals, and other expenses are being handled from a social distance point of view.  YOUR support has been greatly appreciated and we hope for it to continue in order for us keep the momentum going.  These families STILL NEED OUR HELP!  Childhood Cancer has NOT been put on hold!!!

Please consider making a monetary donation or picking an item, or two, from our Amazon Wish List to continue our mission of support.  Together WE can make a difference!!!
