Refreshing alcoholic libations are among the hallmarks of summertime, especially in Florida. Mag Dogs & Englishmen in Tampa offers a variety of summer cocktails, wine, and draft beer to make happy hour extra cool. Review a few favorites below before enjoying a beverage or two with pub food on the restaurant’s patio.

4 Cool Libations to Sip at Happy Hour

1. High Noon Sun Sips®

This hard seltzer delights the taste buds on a hot day. This vodka-based sparkling beverage comes in summery flavors like grapefruit, pineapple, watermelon, and black cherry. It can be turned into a refreshing spritz with the addition of La Marca® prosecco.

2. Yes Way Rosé®

If rosé is your summertime drink of choice, try the Yes Way version from the south of France. Savor the light wine with the Tampa restaurant’s British cheese board or a marine-inspired dish like fish and chips, crab cakes, scallops, or Atlantic salmon. Should you prefer white wine on summer nights, try the Whitehaven® sauvignon blanc from Marlborough, New Zealand.

3. Cigar City® Beer & Other Suds

If you prefer hard cider, consider the Stella Artois® cider for a fun take on the summer libation. The pub also offers plenty of other bottled and draft beers to keep your summer sudsy.

4. Mimosa

This Sunday brunch staple works just as well for summer happy hour. Known as Buck’s Fizz in Britain, the drink shares a special connection with Mad Dogs & Englishmen. One of the owners, Wilton Morley, is the grandchild of Captain Herbert Buckmaster, who founded the legendary Buck’s Club in London. The club started serving patrons after World War I and featured a bartender who invented the mimosa. Ask for a “Buck’s Fizz” the next time you visit the Tampa pub.
