Nutmeg Spay/Neuter Clinic, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, has a long-term strategic plan to end pet overpopulation that is going to be the future of animal advocacy. Each year, 7.6 million companion animals enter animal shelters due to owner surrender or because they were found wandering the streets.  Of those animals, nearly 3 million dogs and cats are euthanized each year because shelters are at maximum capacity and there are simply not enough adoptive homes.  Our organization through the support of our community is actively, humanely reducing the number of homeless animals by offering low-cost spay/neuter services for both companion and free-roaming animals and then supplementing with preventative programming through the Pets for Life program to keep companion pets in their homes long-term...but we cannot do it without of the support of our beloved community!  To support accessible spay/neuter is to support pets in need that are already here...already in shelters...and already looking for a loving home.
