As you may already know, COVID-19 has impacted our lives and well being within Dothan, Alabama, and the rest of the United States. As we begin to work from home and spend more time inside we begin to get even closer to our loved ones which also includes our pets.

Dothan Animal Hospital has been and will remain open during this time of uncertainty. We want to provide our patients and their loved pets with information regarding how our operations are adapting to the virus. We have taken precautions given by the CDC and more specifically the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association). Here are some changes that have happened in our office:

Maintaining Social Distancing

In an effort to protect you and your pets, our team is equipped with pick-up or concierge service for all pet care. Our team will answer your call upon arrival of your appointment to come out to your vehicle and retrieve your pet for its appointment. This will limit contact between persons and other animals. We have also closed our lounge/waiting room for your and your pets’ protection.

Personal Protective Equipment

Thanks to one of our own clients, we now have facials masks to equip our whole Veterinary Clinic in an effort to minimize the spread of the virus in the air. Additionally, and as always, we disinfect all exam tables, medical devices, and other frequently used objects after each pets appointment ensuring cleanliness.

If you have questions regarding our adaptation to the virus, or our veterinary services, please contact our office for more information: (334) 793-9779. We hope that you, your loved ones, and your beloved pets remain happy and healthy!
