We do hope this letter finds you and your family in good health.  As we are all in uncharted waters, our normal methods of navigation in our practice are being tweaked in order to protect our patients and staff to the utmost.  Having said this, we have consistently exercised our due diligence in the past to practice extremely safe infectious disease protocols; however, the current pandemic situation calls for us to take our measures to a higher level of prevention.  This requires patience, diligence, and intentionality of forethought in order to execute properly. Furthermore, it will also require your cooperation and participation to work in concert with us so that we can continue the quality of dental care that you deserve.

We want your and your family to feel comfortable and safe when you come for your dental visit; therefore, we want to inform you of the infection control procedures that we are presently following to keep our patients and staff safe.

Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).  These agencies keep us current and up to date on any new rulings or guidance that may be required as they are our governing authority for dentistry.  The increased protocols will result in a $5 charge per visit which insurance will not cover presently. Dentists are petitioning to have that changed in the future. The following safety measures have been implemented.

**Our office will communicate with you prior to your appointment to ask some screening questions; You will be asked these questions again upon arrival to our office.

**We are not allowed to have anyone in our lobby at all; therefore, you will be met outside at our drive-thru and directed accordingly.

**We will have a sanitizing station for you to wash you hands when you enter, and more will be placed in other areas throughout the office for your convenience.

**We have removed all magazines, toys and other “extras” since these items cannot be sanitized adequately.

**Appointments will be scheduled in order to allow and maintain social distancing between patients, which results in fewer appointments available each day.

**Extra time will be allowed between patients in order to reduce the length of time that your are waiting and reduce the number of patients in the office at any given time.

Please know that we look so forward to seeing you again and resuming the quality care that you expect and deserve!  Every effort is being made to see our patients in a safe and timely manner,  while also adhering to the increased guidelines and safety measures required. We thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation as we work together to navigate this process.
