#GivingTuesdayNow is a new global day of giving and unity that will take place tomorrow, May 5, 2020, as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19.

GivingTuesday.org said “We believe that generosity has the power to unite and heal communities in good times and bad.  A global threat like COVID-19 touches every person the planet and presents an opportunity to come together as a global community.   Let’s come together to create a wave of generosity citizen engagement, action from business and philanthropy, and support for communities and nonprofits around the world.”

Please support local pets by supporting Nutmeg Spay/Neuter Clinic tomorrow, May 5, for #GivingDayNow 2020.  Keep an eye out for more communication on ways you can support the mission (many are completely free!) and help give the gift of hope on this global day of unity.

While We've Been "Gone"…

Although we have been temporarily closed for routine spay/neuter services, we have not ceased our support for our beloved community. As COVID-19 began to grip Connecticut, we immediately applied for a grant that allowed us to give out hundreds of pounds of pet food to Pets for Life families, living in the some of Connecticut's most underserved areas.  Learn More About Pets for Life >>

SPAY/NEUTER: FACT OR FICTION?

MYTH: Spay/Neuter is unhealthy for pets.

FACT: Just the opposite! Neutering your male companion prevents testicular cancer and some prostate problems. Spaying helps prevent uterine infections and breast tumors, which are malignant or cancerous in about 50% of dogs and 90% of cats. Spay/neuter will help your pet live a longer, healthier life*
