The right form involves keeping your back as straight as possible, tightening the abdominal muscles, and spreading your feet apart to shoulder width. This form gives you a solid base, so you won’t lose your balance, and keeps your spine straight without affecting any ligaments.

Focus on your breathing: breathe in through your nose when lowering the weight and exhale through your mouth when lifting.

As you get stronger and start to add more weight, incorporate a weightlifting belt into the routine. It will provide additional support to keep your abs tight and your back straight.
