Social Distancing Family Portraits on Your Brooklyn Stoop, Brooklyn, New York

If you’re living in Brooklyn, you’re likely sheltering in place in your home, trying to stop the spread of COVID19. Our NYC medical workers are working overtime, and we are helping them by social distancing. Meanwhile, it’s spring, and our children are growing, taking first steps, and having birthdays. Perhaps you’re pregnant and haven’t yet had the opportunity to have maternity photos taken. Award-winning local wedding and family photographer Karen Wise in Park Slope is offering beautiful Brooklyn Stoop Portraits from a safe distance for only $249, $24 of which will go to City Harvest, a charity which rescues and delivers food to hungry New Yorkers in need.

Schedule Family Portraits From the Comfort of Your Own Stoop

Plan Your Outfits & Props

If you’re celebrating a family member’s birthday, feel free to dress up the birthday girl,  include a homemade cake or hat, or include your pet and make it casual.

Why Choose Karen Wise Photography

family photographerAs you browse this family photographer’s website and read Karen’s reviews, you’ll see that she has a lot of experience working with families. She has been photographing weddings, maternity sessions, newborn photography, and family portraits for over 15 years.

Karen comes highly recommended and you may read her glowing reviews on Yelp and Google. She uses telephoto lenses for this series, so she can take pictures of you from 10-20 feet away and still get beautiful frame-worthy portraits of your family.

Plan a Photo Session in Prospect Park When the Curve Dips

family photographerWhen it’s the right time, you can safely move to the park and do a short mini session. Do you love your historic Park Slope district? As a long-time Park Slope resident herself, Karen moved into the neighborhood in the late ‘90s. She built a darkroom in her Park Slope garden apartment and developed and printed her own film and silver gelatin prints.

She first started shooting local Brooklyn weddings, until her work got published and she started to travel far for work. She remembers shooting her clients’ first headshots on her own brownstone’s stoop.

Perhaps you have a similar history, or perhaps you just moved to the Slope. You always loved the architecture in this wonderful historic district, so why not include your historic steps, banister, gaslight post, detailed door, or even your window sill in the photos? Perhaps you met your partner and moved into this home before having kids, or maybe you adopted your first pet here.

Perhaps you just recently moved in and have yet to have a family portrait in front of your apartment building. Your home is where you build memories, so let’s document it and celebrate it as you shelter in place.
