This post has nothing do with Audiology besides the fact that I am an Audiology Doctoral Intern.

I recently had an oil change and tire rotation performed on my car.  Driving home, I noticed the ride was a bit rockier than usual but I attributed that to the construction and general state of the highway.  Today, however, as I accelerated, my car began to rumble and vibrate.  Nervous, I called my brother, a mechanic, and asked him for advice.  He suggested I check my lug nuts because my tire may not have been put back on correctly.  This is particularly scary as I was driving 60 mph on a four lane highway.  I pulled off onto the shoulder and let me tell you, I am not car savvy in the least nor do I possess any useful upper body strength.  Somehow, I manged to check the lug nuts on 3 of my tires.  When I got to the last tire and tried to check the lug nut, the thing practically fell out in my hand.  I started to tighten each lug nut when a kind stranger pulled off the road and offered to help me.  He very generously tightened the lug nuts much more than I could have.  Then he left with nothing more than a "You're welcome," and a wave.  I actually had everything under control but I am so grateful that this man who doesn't know me from Eve stopped to help.  The world could use more people like him.

Here's your reminder to do something nice for someone besides yourself today.
