2. Offer Ideas

Maintain a list of projects that won’t take long to complete. If they can’t come up with an idea on their own, offer a suggestion.

Sometimes, all they need is a little nudge to spark the imagination. Make sure to have all of the materials on hand to avoid a last-minute run to the store that might interrupt the flow of ideas.

3. Explore Senses

Take a trip to the park or library. As you’re walking around, ask your little one to picture themself somewhere exciting, such as on an African safari or in the Amazon rainforest. Have them describe the animals that they’re seeing, as well as any strange smells or sounds. Using their senses in this way will naturally boost of creativity.

4. Encourage Mistakes
