1. Sweep

Once the larger debris has been removed, go back over the floors with a vacuum. Use the brush attachment to remove any lingering debris and clear up anything left by the dustpan.

2. Wash

Giving your floors a thorough scrubbing removes any built-up grime and stains that are marring the appearance of your tile floors. There are many commercial cleaning solutions you can buy at a home improvement store, but you can also make your own solution at home. Just mix ¼ cup of white vinegar with two gallons of water and apply the mixture using a mop.

Let the cleaner sit for at least 10 minutes, and use a toothbrush to remove difficult stains on the grout. Rinse the solution using warm water and dry it using a microfiber cloth.

3. Buff

To maintain its shiny appearance, buff the floor three to four times a year. Before polishing it, make sure the floor is completely clear of dust, dirt, and debris to avoid damaging the tiles. If you don’t have a buffing machine, you can rent the equipment for a day to deep clean your house.

Much like a vacuum, you simply turn it on and guide it across the floor. Focus on smaller, individual areas until the entire house is complete.
