The American Dental Association has given guidelines to help doctors and patients in this time of crisis. 

You should call your dentist when you have oral bleeding that will not stop.

You have swelling and pain in or around your mouth.

You have sustained trauma such as knocked out teeth or a tooth or teeth that have broken off. 

If you have pain in the jaw bone or in a tooth or teeth. 

If you have a gum infection with swelling or pain. 

If you are a receiving radiation or other cancer treatments that necessitate the need for denture adjustments. 

Post operative needs such as removal of sutures.
