Be courteous to other drivers by turning off your high beams when you are close behind another vehicle or approaching an oncoming car.

4. Reduce Speed

Your car’s stopping distance often exceeds the distance that your headlights show, especially at higher speeds. Driving slower will give you more time to react to wildlife and other obstacles that could suddenly appear in the dark.
