2. Create a Mini Rink

Cats love bouncing objects off of walls and other surfaces. You can give your cat their own mini “rink” by setting up a few cardboard boxes or other safe blockades. Then, introduce a ping pong ball and watch them entertain themselves. 

3. Provide Plenty of Toys

While your cat may not be inclined to play fetch, they can still exercise by playing with the toys you give them. Toys with bells and strings, as well as ones that move, are likely to be well-received by your cat. In a pinch, you might even be able to entertain them with a ball of yarn. 

4. Invest in a Cat Tower

5. Try “Follow the Laser”

Give your cat a short burst of healthy activity by playing with a laser pointer. Shine the pointer on the floor and allow your cat to try to “capture” it. Play in an obstacle-free area and never shine the light in your cat’s eyes.
