Right now Vermont homeowners can receive a 50% rebate up to a maximum of $2,000 (or $4,000 for income eligible homeowners) by taking advantage of Efficiency Vermont’s Home Performance with Energy Star rebate program.  

What do you need to do?

Simply contact Farnum Insulators to schedule a free home weatherization consultation and one of our specialists will meet with you to discuss your weatherization options.  To enroll in the rebate program, a Farnum Insulators energy auditor will perform a comprehensive energy audit that will include a blower door test to measure the level of air leakage in your home.  When conditions allow, we’ll also provide you with infrared images that show weaknesses in your home’s thermal boundary.  Our professional installation crews will insulate and air seal your home as outlined by our weatherization specialist and energy auditor.  If the air leakage in your home is reduced by a minimum of 10%, you qualify for the rebate!  We’ll handle the paperwork while you get to enjoy the new comfort of your home. Within 6-8 weeks your rebate check will arrive from Efficiency Vermont – it’s as simple as that!

Don’t have the funds to pay for the weatherization at the time of the work? 

No problem – Efficiency Vermont offers a Home Energy Loan program with no interest financing (or low interest for higher income households) through VSECU and other local credit unions to allow you to take advantage of low monthly payments.  In many cases, the savings from energy efficiency can cover a major portion of your monthly payment.
