The Coronavirus (COVID-19) has dominated the news over the past few weeks, and likely will for some time to come. We value the well-being and safety of our employees and clients and are taking precautionary steps to maintain a healthy environment.
While we do not anticipate any interruption in our service to you, Gene’s is taking the following measures:
We are communicating with our employees on how to stop the spread of germs.
We are providing all of our employees with hand sanitizer.
Employees will be required to stay home if they have respiratory symptoms and/or a temperature above 100.4°F.
Employees will be required to leave work if they develop these symptoms while at the workplace.
Employees will wash their hands and/or use hand sanitizer throughout the day.
Employees are permitted to wear masks and/or gloves at their discretion.
COVID-19 is spread through airborne particles as with most bacteria and viruses. We recommend that you:
Change your air filter regularly (please call if you are unsure how often this should be done)
Invest in a Whole House Ultraviolet Light to kill viruses and bacteria in your home. REME Halo® offers an in-duct system that is 99% effective in inactivation of viruses & bacteria. RGFClearSky DM offers reduction of bacteria & viruses.
Make sure the humidity in your home is between 35% - 50%
Change your UV bulb if it is over 3 years old.
Invest in a high efficiency filter or electronic air filter (for HEPA like results)
Since we are in a service industry that requires entry into your home, we ask that if you or anyone in the household have any symptoms that you effectively communicate it with our office. It does NOT mean that you will not receive service…it just gives us an opportunity to communicate the possible exposure to the service technician before arrival.
We know having a technician in your home during this trying time can be a concern. We are taking every possible precaution to keep you and our team safe.
