1. Adjust the Monitor Height

If you strain or sit in an awkward position to see what’s on your computer screen, change its position. For example, if you tend to hunch down, you can raise the monitor height or put your laptop on a platform. If you bend forward to read small text, either bring the screen forward or zoom in, so it is easier to read.

2. Get Up for Stretches & Walks

neck painYou can also reduce strain on your spine by occasionally getting up from your desk. About once an hour, stand up for a few minutes to walk around the office or stretch. You could also invest in a standing or adjustable desk that allows you to switch positions throughout the day without losing productivity. However, regular breaks also help reduce eye strain and burnout.

3. Practice Your Posture

You may round your back and slump your shoulders if you sit in the same spot all day, but this position does not support your spine. Sit with your feet flat on the floor and your back straight against the chair. If you forget this posture and slip throughout the day, keep a small sign at your desk or set reminders on your phone.
