Carolina Digital Phone, a leading hosted VoIP and telecommunications firm based in North Carolina that serves businesses, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and academic institutions nationwide, has launched a new Next Day Telework Solution designed to support remote workers who are advised or obliged to work from home during the coronavirus crisis.

The new Next Day Telework Solution was introduced in a blog post by Carolina Digital Phone’s Founder and CEO Nicky Smith. Customers who contact the company by noon can have required equipment such as IP phones, headsets, power supplies and Wi-Fi dongles shipped to any U.S.-located employee by the next day. There is no limit to workforce size, and Carolina Digital Phone will also provide remote employees with step-by-step instructions and guidance on how to set everything up in their home office.

In the same blog post, Nicky Smith also highlighted three other ways that Carolina Digital Phone is responding to the coronavirus crisis:

  • Offering a free mobile app (iOS and Android) that enables remote employees to make/receive calls and access other system features using their personal smartphone.

  • Maintaining uninterrupted business continuity through online web portal, email, instant message, and phone. Currently, the company’s Greensboro, NC head office remains open and there are no plans for a temporary closure or a reduction in office hours (8:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday).

  • Utilizing multiple layers of security, rigorous service operations, geographically dispersed redundant data centers, and 24/7 system monitoring to provide high availability of services and meeting a 99.999% uptime standard.

Commented Nicky Smith: “This is a difficult and uncertain time, but I have no doubt that as a nation we will find the necessary solutions to keep us safe and our future bright.”
