Can I Still Begin A Case with J.P. Coleman Law, LLC?

Yes. Our office is open for business, both for new and existing clients. Our hours have not changed, and we are fully staffed. To schedule a free consultation with one of our attorneys, call our Alabama or Louisiana office at 251-947-6247 or 504-332-0062. Or visit our website at www.jpcolemanlaw.com.

How Will My Attorney Meet with Me?

We are able to meet with both new and existing clients as well as draft documents and file lawsuits. The biggest change is that meetings with your attorney will be via Facetime or by telephone rather than in person. We have made this change in an effort to limit the chances that our clients and staff are exposed to the Coronavirus.

What Will Happen to My Court Date?

J.P. Coleman Law, LLC has offices in both Alabama and Louisiana. In both states, courts are making decisions that are affecting our clients who currently have scheduled court dates. If you are an existing client, you will receive an email from our office in the coming days about your court date.

If you are considering hiring an attorney to help you with your family law, divorce, criminal defense, child custody or estate planning matter, the lawyers at J.P. Coleman Law, LLC are ready to help, and there is no reason to hold off in beginning your case. In both states, attorneys are still able to file pleadings and motions, and in both states, it is very common for court dates to not be set for many months, meaning that your case may well not be delayed at all by the Coronavirus.

How Will I Share Information With My Attorney?

The attorneys at J.P. Coleman Law, LLC work in a substantially paperless environment. Almost all client files are stored electronically on a secure server, and almost all client information is gathered and stored electronically in an efficient and secure manner.

This means that our ability to communicate with you and gather information needed for your case will change very little.
