We clean, we scrub, we paint, we distance the tables, we sanitize, we dust, we limit the number of guests, WE PRAY.   Who knows what life will be like once the economy is able to open again.  Who knows when diners will feel confident enough to come back to dine at a family restaurant.  There are numerous benefits of eating out together as a family, but there is no guarantee that what once was, will be again.  It all comes down to trust.  Does the general public trust the local restaurant owner(s), and their “family” of crew members, to have local diners best interest at heart.  For us at Western Sizzlin in Russellville, I can assure you we do.

1. This was our hometown too.

Mark and Laura Bazyk once lived in Russellville, and prior to that, in the River Valley, since the 1970’s.  We still have family and lots of friends in the area, and it is a privilege to be able to maintain those relationships even though we moved to Northwest Arkansas in 1994.  We stake our reputation on providing meals and meeting places that you are proud to bring your out of town guests...not because we are the fanciest or fadish, but because we serve good food with friendly servers that have known you for a lifetime.  Because we keep up with trends in the food industry, and try to balance adding new items onto the menu with keeping the favorites that keep everyone coming back, day after day, week after week.’

2. We love what we do….Feed Families

A restaurant provides an opportunity for kids to try new foods and experience new customs. Kids get a kick out of being able to decide what they want for dinner instead of having to eat whatever their parents cook. You can even teach them about finances by using coupons and letting them pay the bill—with your card, of course.

3. We care about our Community

We donate so much to this Community, whether Churches, Schools, Food Pantries, Civic Clubs, you name it...we support it.  There is never a cause that isn’t worthy...just a budget that won’t allow every cause to be funded.  We hope to always be in the sweet spot of giving enough, but not too much.  This Covid-19 shut down caused us to have way too much in perishable foods, and way too long of a hiatus.  Good news for the needy, we didn’t let it go to waste, we donated it.  If you have received donations from us in the past, feel free to mention any kind words on our facebook page.  Heaven knows there is enough negativity that gets thrown around just for the fun of it.  We look forward to opening as soon as we can.  We thank you for trusting us with your dining and catering needs in the past, and look for you again soon.
