To Our Valued Patients,

In light of the new developments related to Coronavirus, COVID19, we know you will all have some questions. Until further notice, we will remain open for your care for you and your families. We will continue our use of universal precautions, which include use of our masks, gloves, surface barriers and disinfection procedures as per OSHA and CDC guidelines. That being said, with the mask and glove shortages, there may come a time where the office may have to close or limit treatment to emergency care only. We understand this might be inconvenient but also want to make sure our patients and our team members are protected. If that time comes, we will notify you as quickly as possible to make arrangements for care.

Effective immediately, if you have a fever, you will be asked to reschedule once you are completely fever free for 24 hours without the aid of fever reducing medication (ie. Tylenol (acetaminophen), Advil (ibuprofen)). If anyone in your household has or recently has had fever, we also ask that you please reschedule your appointment(s) until everyone is fever free without medication. If you have a cough, runny nose, sore throat or generally don’t feel well, please reschedule. If you have traveled outside the US on a cruise or to areas that have had high infection rates, we also ask that you reschedule. We will be suspending missed appointment/short notice cancellation fees for the next 30 days to accommodate these requirements.

Please know that just as we ask that you not come to the office in the case of an active or recent illness, we will be taking the same precautions with our team members in the office as well. This could necessitate a need to reschedule appointments on our end. We are doing everything that we can to mitigate the disruption to daily operations and would ask for your patience and understanding in the case that your visit to our office needs to be rescheduled.

We are confident that my maintaining our existing office protocols and sterilization procedures, that we can continue to provide care as usual in a safe and responsible way.

We want you to know that we are here and will be seeing patients as we can and are allowed to do so. Please stay safe.

Sincerely,

Rachel E Gold, DMD and Team
