Adding a trampoline to your backyard encourages your children to spend more time playing outside instead of being confined to a television or computer screen. Although simply bouncing up and down is exciting, incorporating group games can keep the fun going for hours. Here are three games kids of all ages will enjoy.

Trampoline Games Kids Love

1. Popcorn

Popcorn is an easy and fun game for any age group. To play, one person sits in the middle with their knees tucked close to their chest. The players who are standing attempt to make the popcorn pop, or force the person in the middle to let go of their knees, by jumping nearby. Players can rotate between popcorn and jumping roles so that everyone gets a turn.

2. Musical Trampoline

TrampolineThis game lets your kids incorporate their favorite songs into their outdoor playtime. This is also an excellent option for parents who want to monitor their kids while being involved in the game.

To play, use masking tape to mark a spot for each player on the trampoline, minus one. Next, everyone jumps freely as the music plays for 20 to 30 seconds. When the music stops, players must stand on the nearest marked spot. If a player is left without a spot, they’re out—just like musical chairs. After each round, remove another piece of tape. Repeat these steps until there is one player left.

3. Bounce & Catch

This game is perfect for kids who need a short break from jumping, as it requires one person to be outside of the trampoline. From outside, one player throws a ball into the trampoline. The remaining players must jump and catch the ball in midair. Points for each caught ball can be given to the entire group for an inclusive experience. If your kids are looking to play a more competitive game, give points individually. The player with the most points at the end can receive a reward.
