Something to remember when dealing with elderly family members and Medicare.

Have you ever had to deal with a family member that has fallen and they have to go into a nursing home?  If not count yourself blessed, however, you might know a co-worker or friend that has had too.  Here is a helpful reminder.

•  If your loved one falls at home and injures themselves and is admitted into the hospital.  They can go to a Rehab facility following and Medicare will pay for a set period of day.  HOWEVER,  if they are released and go home and then you find out they need more care than you are able to give their rehab is not covered by Medicare you will have to pay out of pocket.
