Apple® devices can do almost anything, and there are probably some features you didn’t even know your phone had. Here are some ways to get the most out of your iPhone®.

How to Get the Most Out of Your Apple Device

1. Magnifier

If you have trouble reading small text or sometimes just need a magnifying glass, your Apple device can provide this resource. On your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > Accessibility and select Turn Magnifier on. This will add a shortcut for the feature on your home screen. On an iPhone X or later, you can quickly access this feature by triple-clicking the Side button.

2. Show Parked Location

When you’re at the mall or out on a night on the town, it can be difficult to remember where you parked. Luckily, your iPhone has a feature that will show you where you left your car. To access it, first enable Location Services. Then, make sure the Significant Locations feature is on. After, So to Settings > Maps and turn on Show Parked Locations. You’ll also need to make sure your iPhone is paired with CarPlay or your car’s Bluetooth.

3. Automatic Backups

apple devicesIt’s a good idea to back up your phone in case it is lost, stolen, or needs repairs, but it can be hard to remember to do this regularly. Luckily, Apple devices let you automatically back up all your data to your iCloud account. To turn on this feature, go to Settings > Your name > iCloud Backup. All you need to do is turn the feature on to reap the benefits. You can also do a manual backup at any time by tapping Back Up Now.

4. Emergency SOS

If you ever encounter an emergency, Apple devices have a way of quickly calling 911 without even needing to dial. To enable it, press and hold the Side button and one of the Volume buttons until the Emergency SOS slider appears. Enable Auto Call and add in your emergency contacts.

When you need to use it, drag the slider to call 911. You can also hold down the Side button and Volume button at the same time. This will start a countdown and will call emergency services once it’s done. After your call with the authorities finishes, your emergency contacts will receive a text message so they can help you as well.
