Commercial glass is an important design aspect of your restaurant. Using it correctly will make your business more appealing to customers and improve its function. Follow the best practices below to make the most of your custom glass designs.

Restaurant Design Guide: Commercial Glass

1. Create a Storefrontmilwaukee commercial glass

Big windows on the storefront will bring in passersby. People should be able to look inside to see what to expect from your restaurant before choosing to dine there. Depending on how your restaurant is laid out, you can use your front windows to showcase something unique. Show off your beautifully designed dining room and its ambiance, or give people a peek into the kitchen and the appealing food your chefs are preparing there.

2. Separate Dining Areas

Half-wall glass dividers can go between dining areas to give people some privacy and prevent sound from carrying between groups. This provides a better dining experience, since diners can comfortably hold conversations. Create small nooks for intimacy, or large rooms for big parties. The glass will add privacy without making the room feel smaller or cramped, and will still allow natural light to freely move through the space.

3. Install Mirrors

Hang large mirrors in your bathroom so patrons don’t need to wait for their turn or share with strangers. If the space allows, add at least one full-length mirror so people can check their full appearance before returning to their table. Mount the mirror with the bottom edge no higher than 40 inches above the floor to meet ADA requirements, and have the top at least 80 inches high to accommodate your taller patrons.
