Annual Fur Rondy & Iditarod Sled Dog Race

February 28 – March 8, 2019, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

qiviutAlaskans carry a proud pioneering spirit, and the Fur Rendezvous—locally known as the Fur Rondy—is a testament to that character. Starting as a three-day winter sports tournament in 1936, the Fur Rondy has since transformed into a 10-day extravaganza featuring fun events like the Grand Parade, Rondy Carnival, Blanket Toss, and the Open World Championship Sled Dog Races. The Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race coincides with the conclusion of Fur Rondy, starting at 10 a.m. on March 7, 2020.

These festivities take place during one of the coldest times of the year. Gear up with ultra-warm qiviut so you can enjoy these outdoor activities for as long as you’d like.

Pick up a Unique Qiviut Headband & Celebrate Fur Rondy!

To celebrate the occasion, Musk Ox Producers Co-Operative offers a special handcrafted Iditarod Husky Headband in extremely limited quantities. Grab yours before they’re gone and get ready to have some winter fun.
