Don’t allow poor photography to bring your work down.  When being judged for shows or galleries, your images often have just 1-2 seconds to impress the juror.  Photographing artwork is an exacting process, requiring color, contrast, and tonal values to match the original to a high degree of accuracy, that you will not be able to achieve with your cell phone, or even low end camera.  The title photo above is just a small section of the whole painting below.  Notice the colors.  Notice that you can see the texture of the canvas and the applied brush strokes.  This is the quality needed to wow those jurors and get into those shows.
